Bear with me as I reminisce, as I review a new and wonderful drink. When I was growing up, we used a powder for washing our whites and it was, called indigo. This transformed the dull whites to a brilliant white. Then in my later years an airline company started with the name Indigo. They took you through the skies to various places in their extremely comfortable, affordable aircraft and made it a pleasant experience to remember.
Now I was lucky enough to come across a new canned drink, called indigo. So, I could not pass up the chance to try it even though I am not a lover of fizzy drinks. The flavour was Pear, Elderflower and Cardamom.
The instant I popped the can; the subtle aroma of cardamom wafted towards my nose. I say subtle because it was delicate and inviting and drew me to take a sip. Instantly the peach flavour enveloped my taste buds and gently let the flavour of the elderflower brush pass my buds while the peach lazily hung around as though it was an usher guiding the cardamom and elderflower along the path.The delicate balance of flavours and the ever so light fizz had me wanting to have some more (generally not a fan of aerated drinks). I immediately poured the rest in a glass and sat back and slowly sipped away at the drink and let it brighten my immediate moments while my taste buds soared the skies.
I, who does not like fizzy drinks, could not help but feel sorry that I only had one can of that flavour.
But I have two cans of the other flavours, “Raspberry, Habanero and Lime” and the other is Mandarin, Bergamot and Lemon Myrtle. I am looking forward to them after I have done my lawns tomorrow.

We loved having the variety of all the flavours, and each one of us had a different favourite. Also nice to be able to offer guests something delicious (and a little fancy) that they've never tried before.

Indigo Soda is a cracking independent soda brand that offers a different flavour to the regular sodas around. Once you taste one, you just keep going back for more

I first found out about Indigo sodas at a restaurant in Marrickville when I was halfway through my pregnancy and was so sick of always drinking soft drinks when out. I’ve never loved the super sweet soft drinks and wanted something that tasted and felt more adult than Fanta and Coke, but still non-alcoholic. I was hooked after the first few sips of the Raspberry Habanero flavour! It was delicious and not as sweet, and that little spicy hit in the end, it made me so happy that we ended up going back to the same restaurant many many times to order them! Then I realised I would buy them for home and I was treating myself to a can each day when on maternity leave waiting for bub to arrive, it almost became my little afternoon ritual in the summer heat on the veranda, while my partner had a beer after work.

I made sure we had a fridge stocked when my family came to visit after baby arrived and they didn’t last long, everyone loves them!

I also love that the label is a sticker instead of printed on the can. It’s the coolest design and it feels very ‘inner west hip’!

Lastly, I got a handwritten card and a personal text message that wasn’t system automated when my order was delivered late the same evening as I ordered, it felt personal and added a lot of value! Will definitely buy again!

I first tried Indigo at a restaurant and was impressed enough to order a box of three flavours — mandarin, raspberry, and pear. Really glad I did.
Each flavour is distinct and actually tastes like the real thing. The mandarin is fresh and citrusy, the raspberry is nicely balanced without being too sweet, and the pear is light and subtly floral. Nothing artificial or overpowering about any of them.
I brought them to a summer event and they went down really well — people were asking about them unprompted. Would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone looking for a quality natural soda.
